Restoration Project Manager-Ecological

Tampa, Florida | $140k-$180k | Hybrid

The Opportunity

  • Lead ecological restoration and mitigation projects from planning through completion, managing scope, schedule, budget, quality, and resources.
  • Manage projects focused on stream, wetland, habitat, and ecosystem restoration, with an emphasis on Florida projects and opportunities across the broader region.
  • Develop project management plans, budgets, schedules, pricing, quality plans, scopes, invoices, and change/extra-work proposals.
  • Lead and coordinate technical teams, including staff, subcontractors, and multidisciplinary resources.
  • Build and maintain relationships with regional, local, state, and federal clients while identifying new business opportunities.
  • Support proposals, marketing initiatives, client presentations, and contract/task-order development.
  • Coordinate with environmental, water-resource, engineering, and other technical specialists to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Oversee permitting, construction activities, community engagement, and landowner coordination.

Technical Qualifications

  • Experience with stream and wetland assessment, restoration, and design, including forest stand delineation.
  • Hydrologic modeling experience using TR-55, TR-20, and Rational Method methodologies.
  • Hydraulic modeling experience with HEC-RAS.
  • Proficiency with Civil 3D and/or MicroStation and GIS tools such as ArcMap.
  • Experience conducting stream surveys, laser-level field work, and sediment sampling.
  • Knowledge of joint-permit coordination and environmental permit applications.
  • Construction management/inspection experience.
  • Ability to travel as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field from an ABET-accredited program.
  • 12+ years of experience designing ecological restoration and/or mitigation projects.
  • Florida Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • Rosgen Level 4 certification or comparable river restoration/river-course credential.
  • Proven project management, team leadership, client development, and business-development experience.
