The Opportunity
- Install and repair insulation around pipes, ducts, tanks, vessels, and mechanical equipment.
- Measure, cut, shape, and fit insulation materials according to project specifications.
- Secure insulation using adhesives, wire, bands, and specialized fastening systems.
- Read blueprints, construction drawings, and specifications to determine installation requirements.
- Remove and replace damaged or deteriorated insulation during maintenance and repair work.
- Install protective finishes such as metal jacketing, vapor barriers, and weatherproof coverings.
- Follow job-site safety procedures while working in industrial, commercial, power, refinery, and construction environments.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of mechanical insulation experience.
- Able to interpret construction drawings and operate common hand and power tools.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Physically capable of climbing, kneeling, bending, lifting materials, and working in confined spaces.
- Strong attention to safety, quality, and installation details.
