The Opportunity
- Lead cybersecurity initiatives focused on medical devices and healthcare technology.
- Assess device security risks, collect cybersecurity and manufacturer data, and maintain accurate records within CMMS platforms.
- Implement and validate device security configurations in accordance with industry standards and manufacturer requirements.
- Identify, investigate, and coordinate remediation of vulnerabilities, including urgent and zero-day threats.
- Work closely with hospital IT, Information Security, clinical engineering, and medical device manufacturers to resolve security issues.
- Monitor cybersecurity alerts, evaluate high-risk exposures, and develop mitigation and response recommendations.
- Track remediation activities, report security metrics, and identify opportunities to strengthen healthcare technology security.
- Train and support clinical engineering/BMET teams on cybersecurity best practices and emerging threats.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
- 3+ years of experience in medical device cybersecurity, clinical engineering, or healthcare technology.
- Working knowledge of CMMS systems, NIST/ISO cybersecurity frameworks, FDA requirements, and Joint Commission standards.
- Strong technical project leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, HCISPP, CEH, or Security+ preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
